Engaging
One of our priorities as a church is to ‘engage with our community and beyond with the radical love and message of Jesus.’ In this section you can view information on how we’re currently attempting to do that in both our local community and throughout the world.
...in our local community.
Ballyloughan
is a congregation that is committed to seeking the welfare of our local community.
We carry this out through showing practical Christian love to people in the
community, through our involvement in local community groups, through regular
activities for all-ages including our weekly Teen-Scene group for local young
people and a drop-in facility each Friday morning, through special events
from time to time, and through courses that are designed to meet a particular
need in the community. We also run a Scripture Union group in our local primary
school and hold an Alpha Course each year. This year we are once again spending
a couple of months carrying out a project called
...throughout
the world.
In
Ballyloughan we are committed to supporting various personnel and projects
that are aiming to extend Christ’s rule and reign throughout the world.
One very exciting project that we undertook in September 2009 was to build
a partnership with the United Liberian Inland Church in war-torn Liberia,
and attempt to raise the funds necessary to build a much needed medical clinic
in the town of Saclepea, northern Liberia.
